SHADOWS FALL's JASON BITTNER Is Metal's Top Drummer

SHADOWS FALL's Jason Bittner has been named the #1 drummer in the "Metal" category in Modern Drummer magazine's 2006 Readers' Poll. The Readers' Poll results appear in the July 2006 issue of the magazine, which will hit the stands in early June.

2006 Modern Drummer magazine readers' poll results in the "Metal" category:

01. Jason Bittner (SHADOWS FALL)
02. Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT)
03. Chris Adler (LAMB OF GOD)
04. Tomas Haake (MESHUGGAH)
05. Lars Ulrich (METALLICA)

As previously reported, Bittner will be joining ex-MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson for his upcoming clinics at the Daddy's Junky Music Boston, MA (May 23) and Daddy's Junky Music Nashua, NH (May 24) locations.

SHADOWS FALL will headline the third annual Strhess Tour this summer in what will turn out to be the group's only U.S. run in support of their highly anticipated new release, "Fallout from the War". The trek is set to kick off on July 12 and runs though August 11.

"Fallout from the War" is scheduled for release on June 13 via Century Media Records.
